Cabinets Garage Storage
There is a reason besides the fact that it snowed this morning that you had to scrape those icy elements off of your car. Depending on where you live, it should be no surprise to you that it snows in the winter. Let's put this blame on no one but yourself for not taking the liberty to clean your dirty, unorganized garage before it got too cold out to do so.
For many people, they simply don't want to clean their garage because they don't want to part with their old junk that they never use anymore. Now it's OK to conserve things but holding on to that 15 year old coat rack that is doing nothing but taking up garage space is NOT OK.
The general rule of thumb here is that if something has been sitting in your garage for close to three years, it's time to say your goo byes. Throw it away, sell it, recycle it, or give it away. Just get it out of your garage so you can use that garage for what it was meant, your car.
Now I know a lot of people use their garages as a storage haven for tools and tool benches. To make your garage as clean as possible, so you can actually use those tools, you should install or make use of cabinets for garage storage.
If you don't already have a cabinet's garage storage system in place, you may want to look into getting one installed. If you can't do this yourself, find someone who can help or pay someone to do it for you. You'll be amazed at how much better your garage will not only look, but at how much you can actually store in these cabinets for garage storage.
One way to store your tools without a cabinet garage storing system would be to use a pegboard to hang your tools from. Keeping things off the shelves and off of the garage floor will really help to maximize space efficiency.
The other things that are lying in your garage like the broken sports junk, old car parts, broken bikes, rickety ladders, and pieces of that old lawn mower that "might" be fixable, all need to go! If you don't use them and/or they can't be stored away even if you were to establish some form of professional cabinets' garage storage system, there is no reason at all to keep that junk lying around. It is a health and safety hazard!
So what we have learned here today is that once you part with the things that you don't use anymore, rig up some form of cabinets for garage storage, and throw away the stuff that is broken or has already been replaced, you'll never have to scrape ice or snow off of your car again. Or maybe you should just move somewhere warm.
