House Cleaning List

Look at your home! Inside is the world which you dwell, host, entertain, and rest in. Where does cleaning fit into all these activities? Usually that chore is overwhelming, but we've created the Ultimate House Cleaning List to make this chore faster and more efficient so you can get back to your life.

First you want to focus on the rooms that need to be taken care of. If you live in a large home, cleaning efficiently can be very difficult, so forget about the rooms that you never use for now and create a game plan for the rooms you use often. So before you start, know which rooms need to be cleaned most and work on them first.

Usually the rooms that need the most cleaning are the basic rooms like kitchen, bathroom, and living room. You want to make well sure that your guests that you are entertaining can at least feel somewhat clean when they go to use the bathroom.

If you are entertaining guests, there is no need to rush and clean the bedrooms because no one is going to be in there. On the other hand, every room is going to need a clean eventually so don't be lazy if you have the time.

Cleaning each room in a timely fashion is important for your house cleaning list because it moves along the chore of cleaning. Limiting yourself to a time limit for each room allows you to be done cleaning quickly so you can focus on the more important things in life. Spend a minimum of ten minutes in each room. You can break this down to a cleaning session of about 60 minutes for six rooms. This includes taking out trash, picking up and organizing things, and then cleaning.

Let's be honest though, if you find yourself spending too much time picking things up, you may need to spend more of this time de-cluttering your home and getting rid of things you don't need or use. Things like old magazines, books, mail, and clothes. Go ahead and add that to your house cleaning list.

So now you have your rooms chosen, and you know how much time needs to be spent on each, it's time to attack. Include your personal style into your house cleaning list and you will find it easier to clean. For example, if you need music, play music! If you need to be naked, by all means take those clothes off! Just don't let anyone see you.

Grab a rag and a disinfectant spray to quickly attack tables, counters, and chairs. Then grab a rag deodorizer and use it on the couch and floor! Then take the vacuum and go over both of these. Then to finish up, go ahead and light a scented candle to set the mood and comfort level for your guests.

Set yourself up for success by remembering this three step house cleaning list process.

  • Pick which rooms you need to clean.
  • Set a time limit for each room.
  • Get to work by throwing away trash, picking up and organizing things, and then cleaning with disinfectant and vacuuming.

Your time and piece of mind is very valuable so why should you be distracted when you clean? Cleaning is a job that no one may want to do but if you have your list ready, it'll be over and done with before you know it!
